Certificate of Advanced Studies in Communication as a Tool of Care

In collaboration with Sasso Corbaro Foundation (FSC), USI offers the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Communication as a Tool of Care.

This CAS delves into issues concerning communication during treatment, addressing the most complex ethical issues from professional, relational and existential perspectives. Taking care of a patient, particularly a critical one, requires proper communication, and the same goes for building an environment in which co-workers can develop. Until recently, communication aspects in the care and work relationship were left to personal initiative or an empirical trial-and-error approach. Today, new knowledge, possibilities, and demands allow and require a more structured approach and openness to broader issues of ethics and society.

Registration is open until 16 December for the postgraduate study programme.

Classes will be held on the Lugano Campus every month, starting 13 January and ending 15 December 2023.
