Federica Sallusto and Mario Botta "number one"

The "I numeri uno" prize, awarded by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland to prominent individuals who have distinguished themselves in various areas of culture, science and society, was conferred this year to Professor Federica Sallusto of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB, Faculty of Biomedical Sciences at USI) and to the architect Mario Botta.

The award was also given to the president of the Associazione Ospedale Italiano Gianni Macconi and to Carmelo Rifici, artistic director of LuganoInScena.

The ceremony was held on Monday, June 3, 2019 during the celebration of Italian Republic Day at the Hotel Splendide Royal in Lugano, in the presence of the Consul General of Italy in Lugano, Mauro Massoni and State Councillors Norman Gobbi and Manuele Bertoli.
