Conference and panel discussion - Breathing new hope

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a complex, chronic, and debilitating psychiatric disorder that develops in response to severe psychological traumatic exposure leading to considerable social, occupational, and interpersonal dysfunctions. Despite specialistic treatment, nearly half of the patients suffer from treatment-resistant PTSD.

Breathing 100% oxygen at elevated ambient pressures (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy - HBOT) emerges as a new promising therapeutic option. It can improve symptoms, as well as both brain function and brain microstructure in regions typically involved in PTSD pathogenesis. Renown experts will present cutting-edge knowledge and discuss this complex topic.
