The Nuclear Medicine Symposium of Southern Switzerland 2024 will be held on Wednesday, 21 February 2024, from 4 pm to 7 pm, at the East Campus Lugano aula Polivalente. The event is promoted by Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale with the patronage of Università della Svizzera italiana.
Nuclear Medicine is the branch of medicine that uses radioactive substances (radiopharmaceuticals) for diagnostic (for scintigraphic examinations, SPECT/CT, PET/CT), therapeutic and biomedical research purposes. The fields of application of Nuclear Medicine are many and cover almost all medical disciplines.
A significant event has been scheduled to showcase the latest advancements in Nuclear Medicine in the diagnostic and therapeutic fields. The new Nuclear Medicine team of "Istituto Imaging della Svizzera Italiana" of Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale will be presented on this occasion. The majority of the team is composed of members of the academic staff of Università della Svizzera italiana (USI).
